SMINORGS ON THE “BIG THREE:”
LINKEDIN, TWITTER AND FACEBOOK
Greg Jensen, Fort Myers, Florida Area
I wrote a recommendation for SMINORGs earlier and thought it relevant to post here for this product, given my use of Linked In. I found Courtney's web presence through Linked in, and indeed her contributions have aided me personally in gaining understanding for, and potential future use of Social Media as a whole when I get my next great opportunity. I admit to not using Twitter or FB as much but keep abreast of SMinORG news from her through these as well.

I've been a huge supporter of the SMinOrgs community close to 2 years. I continue to be impressed with the quality of content Courtney upholds within the “Big Three" SMinOrgs communities. These platforms enable members to share and have engaging conversations regarding Social Media and its relevance within organizations.

Sometimes I get dismayed with groups in Linkedin. If every group leader were as diligent as Courtney, LI could surely reach the next level of collaboration.

SMinOrgs on Twitter and on LinkedIn are proving to be a very efficient ways to help colleagues learn about social media. Especially for those just beginning to explore Twitter, @SMinOrgs is an account I encourage colleagues to follow. And for those whose interests or work involves social networks, the LinkedIn Group (with its 2,200+ members) is a both a valuable source of information/conversation and a friendly environment for learning to navigate a social network.
Elina Jokinen, Finland
As an HR professional and a social media enthousiast I try to stay up-to-date with the field. For me, SMinOrgs is the single most useful source of information, providing links to many different sources with well thought out commentary. Following updates primarily on FB and LinkedIn is an excellent way to get regular updates on the topic. I also enjoy the fact that the LinkedIn community is active, thus allowing me also to get input from many other commentators.
Ellen Levy, San Francisco Bay Area
SMinOrg's group on LinkedIn is one of the four groups on LinkedIn that I *always* get value from! The community and collective insight is great (which I firmly believe is in large part attributable to Courtney's approach and expertise).
Jerry Carducci, Greater Chicago Area
I have followed Courtney's LinkedIn site for a year. The discussions and advice has added clarity in the different uses and challenges associated with integrating social media within an organization's communication tool kit. Information conveyed in her blogs, newletters and research material continues to be invaluable. I have referred others, that are serious about incorporating social media into their orgs, to her sites. Thanks Courtney for all your efforts in this arena!!
S.M.A.R.T. BLOG
Ron Thomas, Greater New York City Area
Outside of Mashable, this group and blog is a must read for me as it relates to social media in the organization. The members are actively engaged sharing thought, ideas and article.
Karin Wills, Vancouver, Canada Area
This blog is a good place to read about diverse situations and ideas that others are experiencing and discussing. The use of Social Media intranet-organizationally has received very little attention until recently and much of what is available is clearly still in a steep learning curve.
S.M.A.R.T. NEWS
Greg Jensen, Fort Myers, Florida Area
I would like to extend my highest recommendation for Dr. Hunt's wonderful set of tools for Social Media in Organizations. Courtney has been advancing the use of Social Media, Policy Development and providing excellent advice, information and connecting people through these tools and her dedication to organizational effectiveness as an expert using these various media. Thanks Courtney.
Karin Wills, Vancouver, Canada Area
This is a fairly good aggregator site for Social Media intranet-organizationally. At this point (December 2010) I have not found another site that brings this information together and in a timely fashion.
SOCIAL MEDIA PRIMER
Karin Wills, Vancouver, Canada Area
I recommend the Social Media primer for anyone who is on either end of the spectrum- either unenthusiastic or perhaps against the use of Social Media in their organization or the person whos is perhaps a little too eager to jump on the train. This primer will give you a good idea of the thinking process that needs to happen first.
WHITE PAPERS AND RESEARCH REPORTS
Karin Wills, Vancouver, Canada Area
I use White Papers and Research Reports when verifying or seeking Social Media information for intranet-organizational use. There is a lot of conflicting information promoted via the social web and it helps to locate documents that can sort through the validity of various sources.
